Is Do. free?
Yes. Do. is free to download on the App Store and Google Play, with a free tier that stays free — no credit card and no trial period. You can use your own OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini API key at no charge from Do. beyond what your provider bills you. Paid cloud sync and cloud AI tiers are planned but are not available yet.
What is BYOK, and do I need my own AI key?
BYOK means "bring your own key": you paste in your own OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini API key and Do. calls that provider directly from your device. It is the AI path available today, and it has two consequences worth knowing. Your task content goes to your chosen provider rather than to our servers, and you pay that provider directly at their rates, which for typical task-planning use is a very small monthly amount. A managed cloud AI option that requires no key of your own is planned.
Can I import my tasks from Todoist, TickTick, or Things 3?
Yes. Do. imports existing tasks from Todoist, TickTick, Things 3, and Microsoft To Do, so switching does not mean retyping your list or losing your projects. The import runs inside the app and takes a couple of minutes.
Is there a desktop app for Mac or Windows?
A desktop version of Do. is coming soon. It installs straight from your browser as a Progressive Web App, which means it runs in its own window with its own Dock or taskbar icon, works offline, and updates itself — there is no separate installer to download. It is not open to everyone yet; the early-access list at getdo.app/download is how to get the link when it opens.
